Allotex (TransForm™)

What is Allotex?

Allotex is a gentle addition of collagen to the surface of your eye, used by our surgeons to restore your near vision. Your eye’s natural structure is fully preserved, as no tissue is removed.

That way you can enjoy the details of daily life again, sharply and with confidence, from the very first day.

Who is Allotex for?

Are you finding it harder to read up close, and reaching for reading glasses more and more often? Allotex may then be a solution. You could be a suitable candidate if:

  • your near vision is becoming less sharp
  • you depend on reading glasses in daily life
  • your eyes are otherwise healthy

A thorough pre-operative assessment determines whether the treatment is genuinely right for you.

How the treatment works

The procedure takes about ten minutes, is carried out under anaesthetic drops and involves three steps:

We use the laser to create a flap in the surface of your cornea.
The collagen implant is carefully positioned above your pupil.
We close the flap, after which the eye heals naturally.

Thanks to this approach, recovery is smooth and you pick up your usual activities again quickly.

Why choose Allotex?

Natural – The collagen works in harmony with your eye’s own structure. As no tissue is removed, future treatments remain possible.

Safe – A short procedure at the surface of the eye, with little discomfort and results from day one.

Proven – The technique is backed by peer-reviewed research and is used in specialist eye centres worldwide.
