Elle s\u2019effectue sous anesth\u00e9sie locale par gouttes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The laser creates a small lense shaped piece of corneal tissue known as lenticule inside the cornea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The laser time of the surgery is about 25 seconds. Then, the surgeon removes the lenticule, across a small incision at the front part of the eye. This reshapes the corneal and corrects the refractive errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SMILE is indicated in the case of treatment of myopia and low astigmatism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BENEFITS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>- Minimally invasive.\n\n- The procedure is performed with a 2-4 mm wide incision on the surface of the eye.<\/li><li>Less post-operative dryness<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DISADVANTAGES<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The vision recovery is slower than Lasik.<\/li><li>It takes several days to get a 20\/20 vision, while with Lasik a 20\/20 vision is obtained the following day after the surgery.<\/li><li>SMILE needs more anti inflammatory treatment.<\/li><li>SMILE is not yet able to treat hyperopia and high astigmatism.<\/li><li>The retreatment of over or under correction after SMILE is more complicated than Lasik.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COMPLICATIONS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Les complications sont identiques aux chirurgies r\u00e9fractives par Laser (infections, inflammation, troubles de vision nocturnes\u2026) hormis les plis et le d\u00e9placement du capot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Le <a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/laser-excimer\/\" target=\"_self\">Laser Excimer<\/a> is used in various refractive surgery techniques:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/en\/prk-ou-photokeratectomie-refractive\/\">PRK<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/en\/trans-prk\/\">TRANS PRK<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/en\/lasik\/\">LASIK<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/en\/femtolasik-par-femtosecond-laser-ldv-z6-ziemer\/\">FEMTOLASIK<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/en\/traitement-personnalise-par-aberrometrie-ou-front-dondes-wave-front-guided-custom-laser\/\">Aberrometry and wave front customized visual correction<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/brusselseyecenter.be\/en\/ultra-thin-lasik\/\">ULTRA-THIN LASIK and Sub-bowman Keratomileusis (SBKM)<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une technique chirurgicale de la myopie et de l\u2019astigmatisme par Femto Second laser.
